New Delhi

Korean electronics major Samsung on Wednesday launched digital projectors and photo frames in the domestic market in a bid to strengthen its IT peripherals business in the country.

The digital projector, in the professional segment, is priced between Rs 2.5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. The company is also planning to launch digital projectors for the home segment by this year.

"With the Commonwealth Games coming up the demand for digital display products in India is likely to go up, " Sharma added.

Besides, the company also plans to ramp up its retail presence and open 10 new retail outlets in next six to eight months, dedicated to its IT products, he said.

Samsung has also launched three new LCD monitor series -- T Monitor, Myst Plus and Lime. The three series, which comprises eight new models, would be priced between Rs 8,100-Rs 18,000.
