HP JOINS HANDS WITH ROTARY INTL DISTRICT

Hewlett-Packard (HP) India and Rotary International District 3190 announced on Tuesday the expansion of Project SANKYA to include the creation of a virtual network connecting schools, teachers and children. SANKYA connect numerous Government and unaided schools through computers deployed under HP’s reuse program.

This knowledge centre will facilitate the dissemination of information to thousands of school-going children. SANKYA connects over 500 schools to the knowledge centre in the first phase of the project, the company release said. The grant given to Rotary toward this education project – the expansion of project SANKYA – is $150,000.
