Mumbai MirrorGovernment funding for research and development (R&D) in the nanotechnology sector is a mere $7 million, even while smaller countries like South Korea spend around $233.5 million, a study by industry body Assocham has found. According to the report, even Taiwan spends $102.4 million in carrying out research work on nanotechnology. “India is also lagging behind in the global nanotech-based scientific publications, despite the growth it is witnessing,” Assocham president Sajjan Jindal said in a statement.
