VTU TIES UP WITH MICROSOFT

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) here will be a partner in curriculum development programmes with Microsoft Corporation, USA.

VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof H P Khincha participated in a discussion with Microsoft Corporation Chairman Bill Gates at New Delhi, recently, in this connection. The partnership would also cover students’ projects, continuing education, research and development, according to a press release issued by VTU Registrar Prof K V A Balaji here on Tuesday.

The Microsoft Dream Spark programme launched recently, would give VTU students free support to help them become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders, the release said.

Microsoft IT Academy Program would empower institutions affiliated to VTU to train and certify faculty and students on Microsoft technologies and connect them to the job market.

The programmes of training and certification for faculty and students of VTU in Microsoft technologies are also being considered by the Microsoft, the release added.
