The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has drawn up a plan to modernise itself and transform into a 'paperless' organisation, a top ESIC official said.
"ESIC plans to modernise itself and go paperless through introduction of technology. We also propose to start post-graduate medical colleges from the next academic year," ESIC's Regional Director, S B Chakraborty, told PTI here.
The Corporation also plans to introduce post-graduate medical colleges from the next academic year, he said.
The investment in technology to go 'paperless' will be to the tune of Rs 1,180 crore, Chakraborty said.
"We will be using the latest modern IT technologies," he said.
The IT modernisation is being undertaken by Wipro, he said, adding that the work will be completed in a phased manner in two years.
