Two realty firms have sought to harmonise their business interests by combining their adjacent plots, each measuring 10 acres in the Rajarhat region of Kolkata.
The two groups, Bangalore-based RMZ Corp and Kolkata-based Ambuja Realty have joined hands to develop an innovative technology park on the combined plot. As part of the business strategy, one will come up with the master plan and concept plan, while the other will actually build it. It also promises to offer space that would be economical and eco-friendly.
The joint venture between RMZ Corp and Ambuja Realty, according to the city’s realtors, will add a significant chapter in the story of the emergence of New Town Rajarhat as the new IT hub of Kolkata in West Bengal.
Harsh Neotia, chairman Ambuja Realty said, “Christened Ecospace, the new technology park will have a total built up area of 2.06 million sq ft. The new initiative will also ensure that RMZ’s international clients look at Kolkata for a classy office development.”
“Ecospace will house eight sophisticated IT towers, each with eight floors. There will be shared amenities such as breakout areas, cafes, food courts, specialty restaurants, a gym, club and ATMs. It would have modern infrastructural support to facilitate uninterrupted operations,” Neotia said, adding that 65 percent of the area would be extensively landscaped.
“We have already engaged Singapore-based RSP Architects Planners & Engineers to ensure that Ecospace becomes yet another landmark in the city,” Neotia pointed out .
