Digital imaging company Canon India on Wednesday said it has launched 85 new products in India, its biggest product launch in the country.

The company launched products across various divisions, which includes digital cameras, digital video camcorders, printers, All-in-Ones, digital copiers, software applications, cable ID printers and card printers.

Cable ID printing and card printing are two new areas that the company today entered into with this launch.

The card printers produce drivers licenses, employee badges, government and college ID cards, prepaid phone cards, IC chip cards and other identification cards and badges.

"The market size for this printer is approximately Rs 100 crore and it is growing at 30 percent per annum," Cannon India Senior VP Alok Bhardwaj said.

The Cable ID printers market is a niche one and these products are used for printing on sharp, durable and weather-resistant lettering on any labels or tubes like construction, control panel and manufacturing industries.

"Canon will be distributing these through a national distributor based in Pune called Onyx," he added.
