INDIA, A GREAT POTENTIAL FOR AUSTRALIA TO INVEST: STEPHEN SMITH

Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs Stephen Smith on Wednesday said that India offers a great potential for investment by Australian industrialists in the field of information technology, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, construction and agricultural research.

Smith, who is leading a high-level delegation, called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and held discussions with him on topics of mutual economic interests. Noting that India is a growing economic super power, he said that he was quite impressed by the tremendous development made by AP in various fields.
