United States-based IT application delivery company Citrix Systems on Monday announced the opening of its new sales office in the city under its research and development roof. The aim of opening this new office is to consolidate its India operations and accommodate more employees in its fold, Citrix Systems India VP Souma Das said. “Citrix India has grown 67 percent year-on-year for the first half of 2008. Our customer base has increased by 225 and to date, we have over 2,500 customers across industry verticals,” he said. Citrix, which had posted an annual revenue of $1.4 billion in 2007, recently announced that it would invest about $200 million in India within the next five years to expand its research and development operation in the country.
