Country's largest software exporter Tata Consultancy Services has signed a five-year global contract with Swedish company Ericsson to deliver application maintenance and development services. The Economic Times
However, the size of the deal is not disclosed. TCS said it has been selected as one of the two strategic partners that will deliver application maintenance services to Ericsson and a preferred supplier for application development services. The other partner's name was not yet disclosed.
The company recently bagged a multi-million dollar -year contract from Singapore Airlines Cargo to service its cargo revenue accounting back office processes.
Earlier, the company has won a five-year engagement with NXP Semiconductors valued at 100 million dollar to provide applications and consultancy services exclusively for the semiconductor company.
"This engagement with Ericsson clearly demonstrates TCS unique value proposition as we drive more value for our European clients through increased service quality and greater alignment to their business needs," TCS Director (Nordic Region) Amit Bajaj said.
Company's shares were trading at Rs 735, down 1.94 per cent on the Bombay Stock exchange 1430 hrs.
