BSNL OFFERS ON-DEMAND HELPLINE SERVICES

New Delhi
The Economic Times (Delhi edition)

After venturing into services like Internet protocol TV (IPTV) services, state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam on Wednesday launched on-demand hosted contact service solutions for its enterprise customers. To be launched in association with Tata Communications, the new offering would include a unified and managed portfolio of contact centre applications with high-capacity voice and data network. The solutions can be integrated with third-party applications and would be offered on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Besides serving its corporate enterprises, the move would also help the fast rollout of helpline services for various programmes run by the government. BSNL would also target small and mid-sized enterprises. With hosted contact centre solutions, enterprises are spared the hassle and expense of installing, managing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the contact centre, while enabling them to offer such services to their consumers. BSNL said that the launch would enable it to provide end-to-end on-demand hosted contact solutions in the market.
