Saksoft net surges

Saksoft Ltd, the Chennai-based information technology service provider, aims to double its revenue to around Rs 250 crore in the next three years. It expects to an employee strength of around 1000 from the present, according to the company’s managing director Aditya Krishna.

For the year ended March 31, 2009 the company’s net profit increased to Rs 9.63 crore compared with Rs 2.22 crore in the previous fiscal. Revenue increased marginally to Rs 120.48 crore (Rs 120.10 crore).

The higher net profit was due to a cost savings of around Rs 7.5 crore by way of ‘rationalising senior management structure’ and by making non-billable senior management ‘billable’.

The company also made better utilisation of employees, he told newspersons.

N.K. Subramaniyam, Executive Director, Saksoft, said growth would come mainly through growing revenue from existing clients, by virtue of expanding offerings and adding new customers.
