HP India grants Rs 3.63 crore for entrepreneurship education

The Indian arm of Hewlett-Packard Development Co. on Tuesday granted Rs 3.63 crore to 10 organizations to facilitate training of entrepreneurs in the country. The programme would facilitate training of 5,290 entrepreneurs enabling them to solve everyday business challenges, grow businesses and create new jobs.

The technology firm granted money to 48 NGOs under the 2007-launched HP entrepreneurship learning programme, which was launched to support the growth of micro-enterprises across Asia Pacific and Japan experiencing high unemployment or economic decline.

Last year, under the same programme, HP India had granted $800,000 to 10 organizations.
