The Hindu Business LineOracle India, which has invested $3 billion in India over the last five years, is eyeing the mid-market growing companies in Gujarat. With this aim, Oracle is entering into partnerships with local service providers such as Ledger Solutions Pvt Ltd, to offer Oracle Applications to mid-market companies in the region, Vinod Subramanian, Regional Manager, Oracle Direct, Oracle India Pvt Ltd, said here. Of the 19,000 customers globally, Oracle has more than 7,000 customers in India — including 4,500 mid-sized companies, and over 40 partners offering Oracle Applications to the mid-sized companies. Oracle, which started work in India in 1987, today has seven development and solutions centres and employs more than 24,000 professionals in the country.
