CHARTER FLIGHTS IN HONEYWELL RADAR

Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab (HTS) is targeting the growing corporate jet and chartered aviation market in India as it is witnessing a growing demand for its tools of navigation databases and solutions for flight plans.

Most of these aerospace systems are developed at HTSL’s Hyderabad centre, which came into operation about a year back. Apart from solutions to monitor flight travel, the centre has a flight support services unit that offers services such as flight planning, voice communication with crew and weather updates to aircraft globally.

“When an aircraft flies, it needs a flight plan and also requires to monitor the weather. Communication between the pilot and air traffic control is critical too. While some of these are handled by large airlines on their own, many corporate owners of planes, fractional ownership operators and smaller airlines depend on partners to provide this support. Honeywell Hyderabad has been developing state-of-the-art solutions and delivering these services to these customers,” explains Srinivasa Raghavan, senior director, Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab.

Established in October 1994, HTS, the erstwhile Honeywell India Software Operations, is based in Bangalore, with operations in Madurai and Hyderabad in India, Shanghai and Beijing in China, Phoenix and Minneapolis in the US and Brno in Czech Republic.
