IT education solutions provider Educomp Solutions said on Monday it has appointed Grant Thornton as the internal auditor for the current financial year. In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company said that it has appointed Grant Thornton as internal auditor of the company for the financial year 2009-10.
Last month, there were reports that Educomp had allegedly fudged turnover figures and promoters of the company had been trading in their own shares and in unquoted subsidiaries.
However, the company rejected such reports. Earlier this month, it had said it would work with the government and regulators to reinstate credibility in the firm.
