The gizmo geeks are shelling out big bucks to get that 'wow' factor attached to their PCs. Be it looks or features, they are doing whatever they can to give their personal computers a very personal touch and getting them converted into designer PCs.
If diamond is a woman's best friend, a man's best friend has to be a machine. As much as a woman loves to flaunt her million dollar solitaire, a man loves showcasing his cutting age, feature-packed tech toys, both getting the same kind of pleasure out of it. So, it's just not women who don't think twice before splurging on their shopping spree, a man too doesn't mind shelling out big bucks just to get that state-of-the-art machines for himself which in his terms, declare his superiority, louder and prouder than nothing else.
Similarly, for the machine maniacs, a computer is not just a machine to do things faster. It has to have more to it. Better put, it has to have that much required 'wow' factor attached to it. Thus, when the market is flooded with some of the biggest brands of computers, none of their prices exceeding Rs 40, 000, the gizmo geeks are more interested getting their personalised machines designed, even if it costs them anywhere between Rs 2 to 5 lakh.
And, mind you, it is not just professionals and corporate honchos, who are being experimental. Even the youth brigade loves to give their machines a personalised touch.
Gone are the days when a personal computer meant a wooden cabinet with some space for the CPU, keyboard and monitor. Today, it is all about modified super computers, whose jaw dropping look, multiple features and faster-than-light speed just makes one go crazy.
The gizmo geeks are using things like cool cabinet, liquid cooling kit, power supply, gaming keyboard with LCD screen and G keys, fatigue reducing mouse, friction-less mouse pad, Quardcore CPU, gaming speakers and gaming graphic cards as per their requirement to make their comp a kind of its own.
