Technosoft Global Services, a US-based provider of information technology and business process outsourcing services, opened its facility (leased) at DLF IT Park.

The facility can accommodate around 600 people in two shifts. The company has invested $2 million (about Rs 10 crore) in the 20,000 sq. ft. facility and plans to invest $2 million over the next 12 months, according to its CEO, Rajiv Tandon.

This is Technosoft’s second centre in the city. The first one is located in International Tech Park.

Out of the 1,000 employees worldwide, half of them are in Chennai and Bangalore (small operations) and the balance in the US. The new facility will be fully occupied by December 2009, and after that the company will consider having its own facility, Tandon told newspersons. Technosoft expects to end the year with revenues of $70 million, a 21-percent growth over previous year’s revenues of $58 million.

“We will continue to have 22 to 25 percent growth year-on-year for the next couple of years,” he said.

Tandon said Technosoft, focussing on US healthcare sector, provides services to small and mid-size companies with revenues ranging between $50 million and $400 million.

The downturn in the US will not affect the healthcare sector which does not go with any economic cycle, he added.
