INTEL, QUALCOMM PLAN TO LAUNCH LOW-COST COMPUTERS IN INDIA

Global chipset majors Intel and Qualcomm have announced strategies to bring affordable and low-cost PCs that work on the latest technologies such as WiMax and 3G to customers in India. Intel's vice-president and general manager of the WiMax programme office Sriram Viswanathan said that Intel Corporation would be working with Indian service providers and device manufacturers to help bring WiMax-ready notebooks to the India market segment mid-2009
