Despite a slowdown in the recruitment of computer professionals both at the national and international market, the State will need around six lakh people in the computer field by 2012. "We have to prepare ourselves to meet the State's requirement for computer professionals," said IT and Energy Minister Surjya Narayan Patro.
In order to create more manpower to meet the need of the State, leading IT Educational Group, Asian Pacific Learning Ltd has made an ambitious plan to reach the students of the rural belt.
Regional head of Asia Pacific Kishore Banerjee said, "In order to create manpower in IT sector, the company has launched exhaustive market study before launching any course and this in turn helps students learn all that is in demand in the market at shortest time and lowest fees."
He further said that iLEARN Training Centre, which is a division of Asia Pacific has introduced the most popular course of iLEARN that is iTIZEN which is an one year software course comprising of two semesters meant for making students abreast with latest technologies and preparing them to meet the industry demands. "Netzen on other hand is a hardware course which teaches students on how to manage a computer and troubleshoot problems besides helping them to learn assembling," he said.
