The Tamil Nadu State Council for Higher Education (TANSCHE) has decided to recommend for all universities the software developed by the Bharathidasan University for arriving at Combined Grade Point Average (CGPA) based on a normalisation procedure.

Vice-Chancellor M. Ponnavaikko said that the software would soon be handed over to the TANSCHE. Since variations in awarding of marks are likely at valuation centres, the CGPA would be assessed based on the software from the current academic year, Prof. Ponnavaikko said at a meeting of principals on Tuesday.
