The Karnataka government has  allotted 14 acres of government land for setting up the ‘Nano-institute’ -  Institute of Nano Science and Technology - in Bangalore. The centre will be set  up under the guidance of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific  Research (JNCASR), with a Rs 100-crore grant from the government of India out of  a budgetary provision of Rs 1,000 crore for nanotechnology initiatives. The  state government is further planning to develop a Nano Park and Incubation  Centre, Karnataka home minister V S Acharya, said on Saturday.
